Trinity College was one of the first places we visited on our trip to Dublin - we took a bus from the airport and got off at the Trinity College stop. Trinity College is the oldest university in Ireland and I had heard it's a beautiful place to walk around and that's exactly what we did. We spent a while strolling around the campus, photographing the old buildings and all the pretty trees that were blossoming.

Trinity College oli yksi ensimmäisistä paikoista, joissa vierailtiin Dublinin reissullamme - otettiin bussi lentokentältä suoraan Trinity Collegen pysäkille. Kyseessä on Irlannin vanhin yliopisto ja olin kuullut, että se on kaunis paikka kävellä ympäriinsä, joten niin me sitten tehtiin. Vietettiin tovi jos toinenkin kuljeskellessa ympäri kampusta kuvaten vanhoja rakennuksia, sekä kukkaan puhjenneita puita.

We didn't want to queue and pay the entry to the old library which would have probably been a stunning place as well, but maybe that's something to do next time. There would have been guided tours around the college available but we decided to just walk around on our own, and even if be might have missed out on getting a little history lesson on the college, I was enjoying myself.

Me ei haluttu jonottaa tai maksaa sisäänpääsymaksua vanhaan kirjastoon, joka sekin olisi varmasti ollut upea paikka, mutta ehkäpä sitten ensi kerralla. Yliopistolla olisi tarjolla myös ohjattuja kierroksia, mutta päätettiin kierrellä ihan keskenämme, eikä tuntunut siltä, että olisi menetetty mitään. Ehkä ei saatu kaikkia historianmurusia tietoomme, mutta kivaa oli silti.

It's free to walk around and as it is a very popular tourist spot, I'd recommend you to go there during the week. We were there on Tuesday morning and it was already busy - with some patience we managed to get a few nice photos, but we definitely weren't the only ones that decided it's a good place to start your day with.

Trinity Collegessa vierailu on ilmaista ja se vaikuttikin olevan tosi suosittu turistikohde, joten jälleen kerran suosittelisin siellä vierailua viikolla. Me käytiin siellä tiistaiaamuna ja silloinkin oli melko kiireistä - olemalla kärsivällisiä saatiin muutama kiva kuva, mutta ei tosiaankaan oltu ainoat, joiden mielestä yliopistovierailu oli hyvä tapa aloittaa aamu.

I'd definitely recommend you to visit Trinity College if you ever end up in Dublin. It's centrally located and easy to reach by foot, and if you're like me, you'll get a lot of joy out of beautiful things and places like this.
